Rome, October 13 (Adnkronos) – "Minister Roccella uses convoluted reasoning to criticize educational initiatives against anti-Semitism, including school visits to Auschwitz. Anti-Semitism is an ancient evil, fought through education. The constitutional values of equality and anti-racism must be reaffirmed. Roccella glosses over the fact that Fascism embraced anti-Semitism and incorporated it into Italian law."
Chiara Braga, Democratic Party group leader in the Chamber of Deputies, wrote this on Facebook.
"Anti-fascism, on the contrary, was the movement that brought values such as freedom, democracy, equality, and the rejection of racism back into the lives of all Italians. This was achieved through the sacrifice of many whose story shouldn't be trivialized for the sake of a bit of media coverage," he concludes.
