Tel Aviv, Jan. 25 (Adnkronos/Dpa/Europa Press) – In a letter to UN Secretary General António Guterres, Israel's ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, has asked for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to end its presence in Jerusalem before the end of January.
“In accordance with applicable Israeli law, including the aforementioned legislation, and following the termination of the aforementioned Interim Agreement, UNRWA is obligated to cease its operations in Jerusalem and evacuate all premises where it operates in the city by 30 January 2025,” the letter reads.
