Palermo, 7 Feb. (Adnkronos) – Rolexes, jewelry, money and other assets, worth over 220 thousand euros, were seized by the Guardia di Finanza of the provincial command of Palermo from a well-known neomelodic singer from Palermo who was found to be penniless and whose family received citizen income. The measure was issued by the Court of Palermo on the basis of investigations that allowed the artist's income to be reconstructed between 2016 and 2022. The singer, who over the years had been the recipient of personal preventive measures and who on several occasions had been banned from performing live, advertised hundreds of concerts and private parties through his social profiles, "demonstrating – the investigators underline – a professionalism and habitual nature in his performances without ever having opened a VAT number".

The social profiles were useful to the Guardia di Finanza to reconstruct the compensation received: almost 850 thousand euros in 6 years of activity. Furthermore, for the years 2018, 2019 and 2021, the artist would have been responsible for the crime of failure to declare income and for this he was reported and the court ordered the seizure for equivalent in relation to the taxes never paid. The financial police also investigated the position of the man's family unit, discovering that the father had received the citizen's income from 2019 to 2022, also including the "unemployed" son in the application and thus benefiting from subsidies for almost 40 thousand euros. The seizure for equivalent of the subsidies illegally received was also ordered against him. Rolexes, jewelry and cash were seized during the searches carried out between the provinces of Palermo and Naples.
