A serious episode shakes the police forces in the Capital. Three police officers on duty at the Salario Parioli Police Station in Rome were arrested and placed under house arrest on charges of stealing money during a house search. The investigation, conducted by the Rome Prosecutor's Office, is reconstructing in detail the phases of the operation and the role of each suspect.

Three agents of the State Police on duty at the Salario Parioli Police Station in Rome have been placed under house arrest on charges of robbery and unlawful search.
According to what was announced by the chief prosecutor Francesco Lo Voi, the three are accused of having stolen almost 36 thousand euros from a safe during an intervention inside a house in via Carmelo Maestrini, in the Mostacciano district, last 27 March. The precautionary measures were carried out by the Flying Squad of the Rome Police Headquarters. An Albanian citizen is also said to be involved in the investigation.
The investigations, coordinated by the Capitoline Prosecutor's Office, made use of the Statements by the injured party, images recorded by the systems of video surveillance of the area and the analysis of telephone records. Elements that, according to the investigators, have allowed them to gather serious evidence against the four suspects.

According to reconstruction, the police officers allegedly showed up at the house, identifying themselves as agents and claiming they had to carry out a house search. After ordering the two residents to stay in the living room, they allegedly entered the bedroom, where they allegedly opened a safe and withdrew 35.900 euros in cash. They then closed the safe, taking the keys with them.
“Thanks to the fruitful and timely work carried out by the State Police investigators, we quickly arrived at the identification of 'unhealthy' members of the police force, suspects of the serious crime for which proceedings are being conducted. The delegation of the investigative activity conferred to the Flying Squad, for the serious facts being ascertained, testifies to the full confidence of the Public Prosecutor's Office in the work constantly carried out with loyalty and dedication by the State Police in the city of Rome", concluded the chief prosecutor Francesco Lo Voi.
