Rome, 10 Feb. (Adnkronos) – For the second consecutive year, Coca-Cola is a Partner of the Sanremo Festival, now in its 75th edition. A moment that sees in the city of flowers also the reactivation of 'Ogni Lattina Vale', an international project that promotes the collection and recycling of aluminum beverage cans consumed outside the home, outdoors, during major sporting and cultural events. The project, in Italy, is promoted by Cial. The initiative is announced in a news item on the website of the National Consortium for Aluminum Packaging.
Among the many events that the Company will organize at the Festival, including talks, meetings and playtime, thousands of mini-cans will be distributed. A careful organization is also planned for the collection and recycling of the many consumed cans. In fact, for four years, Coca-Cola has joined the international project Every Can Counts, managed in Italy by the Cial Consortium and called Every Can Counts, which involves 21 countries in the world and promotes the recycling of beverage cans consumed outside the home, beyond the traditional separate collection which in Italy has reached the record level of 93%. Thus, in the streets of Sanremo, numerous entertainers with backpacks and bags will ensure the collection of consumed cans.
Thanks to this activity, the recovered aluminum will be sent for recycling, allowing energy and material savings. The can is the most recycled beverage container in the world precisely because aluminum can be recycled infinitely and 100%, without losing any of its main characteristics.
