Milan, 25 Jan. (askanews) – Brunori Sas is competing at the Sanremo Festival, announcing the single “L'albero delle noci”, with which he will celebrate the joy and revolution that a new life brings with it, suggesting how every birth is at the same time a rebirth.
“The song Sarremese speaks of a birth and a rebirth, but not only of the natural joy, of the revolution that a birth brings with it, but also of the fear, of the restlessness and perhaps also of the sense of inadequacy in the face of such an important event in a person's life. And then a pretext, because of course I talk about my daughter, I sing about my daughter, but I actually sing. I wasn't satisfied with singing only about this, it would have seemed perhaps too personal, too intimate or perhaps even too rhetorical and so it becomes the pretext to sing something broader that has to do with the seasons of life, precisely, since there is a tree in the middle, of the leaves that grow but also of those that fall”.
He then describes his choice to participate in the festival as follows: “Well, Sanremmo obviously, I was a small-town boy, I grew up in a small town in that period, in that era when I was little, one of the collective events. Today it seems to me that it is one of the very few popular national events left, if not the World Cup perhaps, so clearly there is that charm there, that is, of being in such a fragmented world one of the few events that brings together all those who like it, those who criticize it, those who mock it. My memories are the memories of a boy who clearly like everyone else was there with the lyrics, looking at the songs, giving the grades, with my father and mother arguing, because one said that the other was cheating and that he had guessed the winner of San Remo, and so they are very sweet memories in reality. Then clearly it depends on the phases of life, there is the phase in which you then snub it and then there is the phase in which you go and sing there, because perhaps you have made peace with all those previous phases.
After a long journey of writing and producing, Dario took the time necessary to take care of every detail, identify urgent themes of his narrative and rediscover the authentic pleasure of creation, supported by the artistic producer Riccardo Sinigallia.
From March Brunori will be in Italian arenas and on June 18th he will be for the first time at the Circo Massimo of Roma Live with Orchestra, intertwining his repertoire with orchestral accompaniment in an extraordinary setting.
