A major event
The Jubilee of Adolescents in Rome attracted an impressive number of pilgrims, approximately 200.000 participants, who crowded the streets of the capital. This event, which takes place in a context of great religious and social relevance, required meticulous organization and unprecedented security management.
The organizational machine, composed of police, carabinieri, financial police and numerous civil protection volunteers, has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness in ensuring the safety of the participants.
The role of the police
The Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, praised the work of the police forces, defining this phase as a historical page for safety in Italy. The massive presence of agents and volunteers has allowed us to better manage crowding situations and ensure a safe environment for everyone. Control and monitoring operations have been intensified, with the aim of preventing any type of accident and ensuring a peaceful experience for pilgrims.
A commitment that continues
Security is not an aspect to be underestimated, especially in a context like that of the Jubilee, which extends throughout the year. Local authorities have planned a security program that will continue to operate even after the conclusion of the event. This constant commitment is essential to maintain the trust of citizens and visitors, ensuring that Rome remains a safe and welcoming destination. The collaboration between the various police forces and civil protection volunteers represents a model of efficiency and solidarity, which could be replicated on other occasions of large turnout.
