An expected return
Simona Ventura, an iconic figure of Italian television, returns to L'Isola dei Famosi nine years after her participation as a contestant and fourteen since her last hosting. This time, however, her role will be that of a commentator, an experience she said she had never had before. "I hosted, I participated, all I needed was to be a commentator," she said in an interview with TV Smiles & Songs.
Ventura explained that her decision to return was influenced by the esteem she has for the new host, Veronica Gentili, and by the desire to support her in this adventure.
A journey full of experiences
Simona Ventura's career has been characterized by a variety of roles in the world of television. However, her claim to be the only one to cover all three roles - host, contestant and commentator - was denied by Vladimir Luxuria, who also served as a correspondent. Despite this, Ventura has proven to be one of the few personalities able to adapt to different television situations, and her return is awaited with great curiosity. "This program is unpredictable even in its organization," she commented, highlighting how the format has changed over time.
What's new in the new edition
This year, L'Isola dei Famosi features a diverse cast, with twenty castaways divided into two teams. On one side, ten young misfits, on the other, ten over 40s, ready to manage the dynamics of the reality show. Ventura expressed the desire to get to know the castaways in depth, stating that she already has some "spies" to gather information. With a program that has evolved and become more frenetic, Ventura is preparing to live this new adventure with enthusiasm, underlining the importance of seizing the moment: "You have to strike while the iron is hot and this is a very nice train to catch on the fly".
