There has been talk recently about the tax for the super rich, especially for those who intend to buy a house in Milan, which is the city that most fascinates the rich from abroad and who would therefore focus on this capital in terms of work investments and not only, moving the economy of the region. Let's see how this tax would impact the national economy.
Super Rich Tax: What is it?
La tax on the super rich or rich tax to put it in English is a tax that it will hit people with total assets exceeding 100 million euros. From this tax there would be revenue for the city that would host them.
Indeed it was initially thought to impose it on foreigners living in Italy for work reasons and which therefore move our economy for a limited period. It is no coincidence that everything was born from the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in Italy when he played for Juventus.
Revenues of 8 billion to Italy
The tax on the super rich if it were set to 2% it is capable of generating a really high overall balance, just look at that considering the 537 Europeans with assets above 100 euros and the revenue the profit would reach 67 billion.
For Italy the amount would be 8 billion since the super rich are 71. If the tax rate were to rise to 3%, revenues would approach 16 billion, almost doubling the initial figure.
This would be done to create new resources without cutting the welfare state creating greater balance and conversely decreasing the inequality, a major problem in today's society.
