Parma, 2 Dec (Adnkronos) – “For us, regenerative agriculture means looking at the total ecosystem, not just a product, so the health and wholesomeness of a product tells the story of the health and wholesomeness of the ecosystem where this agricultural product lives”. These are the words of Marta Galimberti, owner of Cascina Bagaggera, one of the two winners of the first edition of 'The Good Farmer Award', promoted by the Davines Group in collaboration with the Foundation for Sustainable Development.
Located in the heart of the Montevecchia Regional Park and the Curone Valley, in the Brianza Lecchese area, the company was founded in 1995, thanks to Marta's parents. Since 2017, it has been working to make the Cascina an economically sustainable company. Today Cascina Bagaggera owns 25 hectares, a farmhouse with a B&B and a shop for company products. "It takes awareness that a farm lives and subsists on a territory - continued Marta Galimberti - and therefore we must take care of the territory starting from the land, the plant, the animal and the human being in order to then create a more aware community".
