Race for Nintendo's new Switch 2: features, price and news
Da today, Thursday 5 June, the Switch 2, the new version of the popular Nintendo console, launched eight years after the first model, goes on sale. It is slightly larger (7,9-inch display), offers Full HD resolution, 256 GB of internal memory and retains the classic Joy-Con, now updated with new functions. It does not distort the original concept, but improves everything possible.
Over the past twenty years, Nintendo has focused on unique innovations: from DS dual screen to the Wii's motion sensor. Switch 2, however, was born with a different goal: to perfect a winning idea. With over 150 million Switches sold, Nintendo has preferred to focus on advanced performance and features, even sacrificing one of its historic advantages: the low price. The new model part of 470 € (compared to the 330 of the first Switch), justified by more powerful and expensive components.
Among the new features, the following stand out: Joy-Con 2, usable in “mouse” mode, ideal for management games such as Civilization VII or for motion-based titles like Drag x Drive. Interesting too Game Share, which allows you to share games with other people – even if they don't own them – both locally and online, thanks to the new function Game Chat, integrated into the console with microphone, webcam and support for voice and video chat.
