London, April 24 (Adnkronos/AFP) – The UK government has announced the lifting of sanctions on the Syrian Home Office and Defence Ministries, imposed during the rule of deposed President Bashar al-Assad.

“The following entities have been removed from the list and are no longer subject to the asset freeze: Department of the Interior, Department of Defense,” the Treasury Department’s statement read.
