It's an example of how a supply chain agreement like the tobacco one can work, and it can certainly be translated to other supply chains, and this is crucial."
This was stated by Undersecretary of Agriculture Patrizio La Pietra at the press conference presenting Filiera Tabacchicola Italiana, the new organization that is part of the broader Filiera Italia project, the result of an agreement to create €2,2 billion in added value, during the Coldiretti Forum in Rome.
"The government supports these initiatives; we support them and are certainly working together to further develop not only the tobacco sector, but also the entire agricultural system," added La Pietra. "These supply chain agreements are crucial; they are exactly in line with the approach adopted by the Meloni government and Minister Lollobrigida from the beginning," La Pietra remarked.
