Rome, November 14 (askanews) – Pope Leo XIV attended the inauguration of the academic year at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome, with a speech in which he underlined the importance of training future peacemakers, citing the study programs in peace sciences and ecology and the environment.
“Peace is certainly a gift from God but at the same time requires women and men capable of building it every day and of supporting the processes towards an integral ecology at a national and international level – said the Pontiff – I therefore ask my university to continue to develop and strengthen these two study cycles at an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary level”.
