Il Maltempo gives no respite to the regions of central and northern Italy. Bologna is currently affected by a massive landslide that is advancing every day, albeit slowly. Work continues to find a solution and secure the affected areas.

We are San Benedetto Val di Sambro, in the Bolognese Apennines and here the mayor Alessandro Santoni he spoke of about 80 meters per day in terms of landslide advancement, as far as the upper part of the country is concerned.
The landslide is a kilometre and a half long and at this moment the forces are concentrated on one quick and temporary resolution to allow the waters of the Sambro to flow away in preparation for the winter months.
Work to secure the population
So, the technicians are working to create a channel at the foot of the landslide and once this is complete, two pipelines will be positioned to further lower the lake level.
Yesterday, November 1st, some measures were activated electric pumps to integrate those already installed and today it is planned to put two more into operation: the system has allowed a lowering of the lake level of about 8 centimeters in 12 hours.
This is the information released by the mayor of a town now in great difficulty, not so much for the road inconveniences of those who travel on the streets and have to face long queues of traffic due to work in progress to repair the damage, or due to the danger posed by the landslide.
It moves with imperceptible slowness but it is a threat constant for infrastructure and housing.
