Rome, 7 Feb. (Adnkronos) – "Today in the Chamber and tomorrow at the funeral we bid farewell to an extraordinary personality of the left of this country: a partisan, a journalist, a communist leader, a person of boundless culture and boundless irony". This is what Nicola Fratoianni of Avs said, speaking to reporters after paying homage to Aldo Tortorella in Montecitorio.
"One of those people - continues the leader of SI - who belong to a generation made of wire, a generation that never ends, that will never end because it is always endowed with an extraordinary curiosity for the things of the world and always stubbornly unavailable to resignation, to the idea that things do not change and cannot change, always in need of finding a way to fight on the right side of history: that of peace, of social justice, of the defense of the weakest. Of the need to change things".
"This is a very sad moment – concludes Fratoianni – but it is also an opportunity once again to rediscover, to recover the infinite teachings that have been given to us by that generation and by people like Aldo Tortorella".
