Rome, March 23 (Adnkronos) – "Romano Prodi speaks of vulgarity but the only vulgar thing is his arrogant reaction towards a journalist, a worker, which shows the opposition's short circuit and which we have already seen in the Chamber during Prime Minister Meloni's speech. It is the left that has updated that passage of the Ventotene Manifesto by bringing it to the streets, Meloni responded to this updating by highlighting the limit of the Manifesto itself precisely on the overcoming of democracy and the elimination of private property, which no one today can share".

This was stated by Augusta Montaruli, deputy group leader of Fratelli d'Italia in the Chamber, speaking on 'Agorà' on Raitre.

"If the left, from Romano Prodi to the parliamentarians who were in the Chamber to raise the controversy, feel affected, evidently - he added - there is something that is not so solid and granite-like in their positions. The truth is that there is a divided opposition and evidently different positions on Europe within the center-left. This is also demonstrated by yesterday's demonstration: in a demonstration of the Lazio PD, in Ventotene, there was Peppe Provenzano elected in Sicily. Our position, as a majority, is that of a Europe that defends private property and defends democracy".
