Moscow, April 24 (Adnkronos) – Russian forces will soon liberate the entire territory of the Russian border region of Kursk from Ukrainian troops. This was stated to Tass by the secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergey Shoigu, specifying that "the Kursk region will soon be cleared of militants as part of an anti-terrorist operation".

According to Shoigu, the situation in the special operations zone is now the key factor influencing both international affairs and the internal situation in Russia. "To date, the Russian Armed Forces have liberated more than 99 percent of the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic and almost two-thirds of the Kherson region, the Donetsk People's Republic and the Zaporozhye region. Russian forces are advancing along the entire battle line, liberating new settlements. The situation is changing in our favor every day," he stressed.
