The army Israeli has arranged theevacuation of the city of Baalbek and other areas in the Bekaa Valley, located in the eastern part of the Lebanon.

"For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move north of the Awali River. To ensure your safety, you must evacuation without delay”, IDF spokesman on X, Avichay Adraee, said, adding that civilians are prohibited from traveling south.

Baalbek Mayor Moustafa al-Chall said the evacuation order had forced many families to leave the city:
"A warning like this is scary of course many people, many are leaving. It is natural that many people who have no connection with any party or with the war, ordinary citizens, leave.”.
He also revealed that about half of the local population had already fled the city following the intensification of Israeli air raids across Lebanon, which began on September 23.
Millions of people displaced
Until now, the IDF had limited this type of order to southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of the capital. More than a quarter of the Country is under Israeli evacuation orders according to the UN, with the displacement of over 1,2 million people.
