Rimini, 7 Nov. (Adnkronos) – During Ecomondo 2024, Dimensione Ambiente Group presented its first Sustainability Report, evidence of the Group's commitment to increasingly sustainable and innovative management of special waste. Produced with the support of Amapola, a benefit consultancy company in sustainability and communication, the report was illustrated in a round table, at the Company's stand at Ecomondo, entitled 'Sustainability and Circular Economy, the importance of reporting'.
The Sustainability Report describes how the Group, active with companies specialized in the management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste - two landfills for special waste and two treatment and disposal plants - has fully integrated the issue of sustainability into its policy, paying particular attention to aspects related to environmental protection and those of the growth of its employees. Environmental protection that has manifested itself with interventions in its plants to reduce the impact on the soil and water of the two landfills managed and by adopting rigorous protocols in waste management.
In 2023, the Group, with a turnover of approximately 120 million euros, recorded the following results: over 1,1 million tons of waste managed, with an optimized energy consumption of 453 MWh and overall CO2 emissions of 349 tons.
The Group also reports that it has had no accidents among employees in the two years analyzed by the Sustainability Report, demonstrating the attention to safety in the workplace. Staff training hours increased by over 10% in 2023 compared to the previous year and the commitment to local communities is also continuous, with numerous cultural, sports and infrastructure projects that aim for quality of life and sustainability of the territory.
