Rome, April 30 (Adnkronos) – "The Government has put on a dead-end the opposition's proposal to establish a legal minimum wage, strengthen bargaining and fight pirate contracts that force millions of people, especially young people and women, to work and still be poor. But today the need to establish a minimum wage by law returns to the attention of Parliament, strong in the popular support of hundreds of thousands of citizens.

There are no more excuses: instead of making other empty announcements, the Government should agree to schedule the bill on the minimum wage and discuss it without prejudice, looking at the experiences of many other European countries where this rule already exists and has had positive effects on wages and the economy". This is what Marina Sereni, national secretary of the Democratic Party, wrote in a note.
