Paola Boni Il 25 e il 31 di Gennaio sono stati consegnati i Screen Actors Guild awards (SAG) e gli Art Director Guild Awards 2015 (ADG), riconoscimenti che premiano il primo le migliori interpretazioni di attori e attrici mentre il secondo i migliori scenografi facenti parte appunto della Screen Actors e della Art Director Guild .
Per quanto riguarda i SAG dal punto di vista del cinema non sono state molte le sorprese della serata. Molte sono state invece le conferme per quelli che sono a oggi i super favoriti a vincere un’altra prestigiosa statuetta: quella degli Oscar.
A trionfare sono infatti gli interpreti di Birdman, Julianne Moore per la sua interpretazione in “Still Alice” e Eddie Redmayne che ha vinto il premio come Miglior Attore Protagonista in “The Theory of Everything”. Come Migliori Attori Non Protagonisti, invece, sono stati premiati Patricia Arquette e JK Simmons rispettivamente per “Boyhood” e “Whiplash”
Per le serie TV invece le novità sono state maggiori, grazie soprattutto ad alcune nuove produzioni di grande successo.
Viola Davis infatti ha trionfato come Miglior Attrice in una Serie Drammatica mentre il cast di “Orange is the New Black” si è aggiudicato la vittoria surclassando il favoritissimo cast di “Modern Family”. Una riconferma arriva invece per Kevin Spacey che si è nuovamente aggiudicato il riconoscimento come Miglior Attore in una Serie Drama per “House of Cards”
Birdman trionfa anche agli ADG vincendo il premio come Miglior Film di Ambientazione Contemporanea. La pellicola è in lizza come migliore scenografia anche ai prossimi Oscar assieme a Grand Budapest Hotel, vincitore invece del premio come Miglior Film di Ambientazione d’Epoca.
Per la televisione invece, nuove serie si affiancano a grandi riconferme. Oltre a Game of Thrones e The Big Bang Theory, infatti, a trionfare è stata la nuovissima serie True Detective.
Durante la serata è stato inoltre conferito il prestigioso “Cinematic Imagery Award” a Christopher Nolan che, ricevendo il premio, ha reso omaggio ai suoi collaboratori dichiarando:
“Qualunque cosa con cui ho contribuito all’immaginario cinematografico è dovuta alle collaborazioni con i miei designer. Penso che il dipartimento artistico è sinonimo di tutto ciò che di meraviglioso ed eccitante ci sia nei film. Tutti i film potrebbero essere meravigliosi se facessimo appena un passo indietro lasciandogli fare il loro lavoro.”
