(Adnkronos) – A three-year-old boy died this morning, shortly before noon, at his home in Cassola (Vicenza). The probable cause was sudden cardiac arrest, which the mother only realized later. The alarm was raised by the child's mother herself when she noticed her son was no longer breathing.
Suem 118 dispatched an ambulance from Bassano del Grappa, a medical car from Crespano del Grappa, and a helicopter from Treviso to the scene. Despite the massive deployment of personnel and equipment and all resuscitation efforts, paramedics were forced to pronounce the child deceased. Carabinieri officers from Cassola were also on site to conduct the necessary tests.
