Ansfisa: White Paper to Anticipate Hydrogeological Disasters

Bologna, May 6 (askanews) – "A White Paper has been drafted to precisely identify the work to be done and, above all, anticipate the effects of hydrogeological instability." This was announced by Domenico Capomolla, director of Ansfisa, at the conference on reconstruction organized in the Emilia-Romagna Region by RemTech and Ansfisa. "The problems resulting from adverse weather events have been identified," Capomolla explained.

Hydrogeological instability is a common element for all three departments within Ansfisa: fixed installations, road infrastructure, and railway infrastructure. Regarding the Agency's role, the director clarified: "Ansfisa does not plan, manage, or have budgets, but rather reports solutions or potential problems to managers. We do not replace the managers, who are primarily responsible for infrastructure safety." "We inspect approximately 4.000 km of road per year on state roads and approximately 2.000 works per year.

"We have achieved a very high level of control," Capomolla concluded. "Every year, the checks increase, and together with the managers, we identify the measures to improve road safety."
