Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – Marches, maximum alert from prevention agencies, and three specific dates circled in red on the calendar: following the riots of recent days in various cities, including Milan, Bologna, and Turin, a particularly comprehensive security plan is being put in place in anticipation of the new demonstrations expected to hit the capital. The goal is to prevent a repeat of the scenes of chaos and devastation that devastated several Italian cities last weekend.
In this regard, qualified sources told Adnkronos, enhanced preventive controls have already been ordered. The information-investigative activity will also include social media messaging to intercept any new mass "summons" and calls to incite unrest by infiltrating already-planned demonstrations.
As for Rome, the dates under scrutiny by the security apparatus are three: October 24, October 30, and October 31, respectively on the occasion of student marches (next Saturday), the general strike on Friday the 30th with the mobilization against the war and the high cost of living, and finally the demonstrations announced for the following day, Saturday, October 31 (with the added threat of the particular climate on Halloween night).
For preventive purposes, chats dedicated to scheduled events will be carefully scrutinized in an attempt to identify any calls or invitations to unleash riots in conjunction with the marches. This prevention effort is not easy, the same sources note, considering that online "activations" are often launched shortly before the events themselves and are only visible in the hours immediately preceding them.
The system will be further refined in the coming days to make the system of preventative checks as widespread as possible. Finally, the possibility that the clashes may have been orchestrated by some sort of mastermind, with instigators interested in fomenting the protests and creating disorder in urban centers, will not be underestimated.
