"I was disappointed." Pasquale La Rocca is one of the stars of Dancing with the Stars, paired with Ornella Muti. The first five episodes of this year were marked by the 'cold' relationship between La Rocca and Barbara d'Urso, a contestant last season and now a member of the judging panel. "Relationships can change over time.
"I don't regret anything I experienced with Barbara d'Urso, it was very intense: tensions, joys, arguments. It's a chapter I cherish in my heart," La Rocca said on Domenica In today, November 1, 2026, in a chat with Mara Venier.
“We saw each other outside of Dancing with the Stars, then the relationship cooled down.
I worked often, I went to England. Our relationship cooled over the summer; there was an 'organic' estrangement, not a forced one. We saw each other again directly on the first episode of Ballando this year,” he explains. “I was disappointed by this unwelcoming attitude towards me and especially towards Francesca (Ornella Muti, ed.), the contestant.
She talks about the technical side, about ankles, about passion, about lights: I'm confused and also disappointed, I expected sincerity that in five episodes there wasn't,” the dancer reiterates. “I love her and I'm going back to what I mentioned in the first episode of Ballando. I talk about jealousy, why not? Being part of all this is a game and she's having fun. It's good for the show and it's good for us too,” he continues.
