This was stated by Pasquale Battaglia, CEO of Vik School, during the presentation of the civic education project that will enable students to counter misinformation and build critical digital citizenship, held at the "Orsa Maggiore" Comprehensive Institute in Rome.
“We developed the idea together with the kids because we believe the added value of this initiative was gathering their needs,” continued the CEO of Vik School.
We built a story they could relate to, and we asked them questions, which they answered." This work involved the European Commission, VIK, schools, and students in a comprehensive collaboration. "This is a first step through which we will gather further input and then evaluate the possibility of potentially expanding the initiatives," Battaglia continued.
The man then concluded by underlining that the initiative is already present throughout the territory.
It is active in several Italian regions,” Vik’s CEO emphasized. “There are only two schools in Rome, while the other 20 or so schools are spread from Piedmont to Sicily.”
