Milan, September 4 (Adnkronos) – The Brescia Court of Appeal has set the hearing for October 29th in the second appeal trial against Piercamillo Davigo for disclosing professional secrecy, in relation to the reports made by lawyer Piero Amara on the 'Loggia Ungheria'.

In March 2024, the Brescia Court of Appeal confirmed the first-instance sentence of one year and three months (suspended sentence) for the former member of the CSM and magistrate symbol of the Mani Pulite team.

Last December, the judges of the sixth criminal section of the Court of Cassation overturned and remanded the part of the appeal ruling regarding the disclosure of the minutes to third parties, while declaring the liability for the contested conduct in the competition irrevocable.

Thus, at the end of October, the second appeal trial will begin before the Second Criminal Section of the Brescia Court of Appeal, a different section from the one that convicted the now-retired magistrate in 2024. The hearing, according to the summons, will be held in chambers, without the participation of the parties and their defense attorneys. Former CSM member Sebastiano Ardita is a civil party in the proceedings. Davigo is being represented by attorneys Davide Steccanella and Franco Coppi.
