Rome, October 13 (askanews) – The EUR Towers complex, redeveloped by the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group, has been inaugurated in Rome. Work, which began in 2022, has restored the long-unused buildings to full functionality. "A beautiful day! After so much work, these towers, a masterpiece of architecture, are back in their splendor. Renovated and regenerated, they contribute to the extraordinary rebirth of EUR," said Mayor Roberto Gualtieri. Cassa Depositi e Prestiti CEO Dario Scannapieco spoke about the project's benefits for the neighborhood and the city.
"As you can see, it's a very significant renovation. I'd say it's more important today to talk about the benefits for this community, for this very important part of Rome. As you can see, great care was taken with the materials, a work that took many years, but it's an example of urban regeneration that has positive impacts for the entire Roman community, particularly for the EUR neighborhood." The complex will be assigned to the Revenue Agency, which is about to sign a lease. Approximately €250 million will be invested to redevelop the complex, owned by the CDP Group through CDP Real Asset SGR.
This investment has allowed "its identity to be preserved, enhancing its history and projecting it into the future," emphasized Antonino Turicchi, CEO of CDP Real Asset SGR. Also present at the inauguration was Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Maurizio Leo. The enhancement of real estate assets, he emphasized, can contribute to the modernization and development of cities.
