Rome, May 5 (askanews) – "It was all wonderful. Film isn't my profession, so being here is a tremendous gift for me and truly a thrill, both to be in the presence of the President of the Republic and all these greats of cinema." So said Bianca Balti, co-host of the David di Donatello awards ceremony with Flavio Insinna, leaving the Quirinale Palace after her customary meeting with President Sergio Mattarella, who annually receives the David di Donatello nominees.
The awards ceremony of the 71st edition will be held on May 6th, broadcast live, in prime time on Rai 1, from the Cinecittà studios. "I was far away, damn it," she said later, smiling, commenting on the President of the Republic's speech. "I'll have another chance to shake hands with the president.
