Fumarola meets Tajani: a positive meeting, but concerns about pensions remain.

Rome, November 2 (askanews) – We had a positive discussion with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani about the budget law, expressing our concerns and highlighting the positive aspects that correspond to the requests we made. This was stated by CISL leader Daniela Fumarola at the end of the meeting at the Forza Italia headquarters. "I'm talking about personal income tax, the 33% tax rate extended to €55.000, but also the tax exemption on performance bonuses for decentralized bargaining," she said. "I'm talking about the measures for young people, families, and women.

It's clear that alongside this, we expressed our concerns about pensions. According to Fumarola, "pensioners need protection because in these challenging times they have had significant difficulties coping with the burden of rising inflation. We also discussed schools and healthcare. We found a willingness to address these issues, to identify paths forward, knowing that the blanket is limited.

But we trust that we can somehow find the resources to meet the expectations of the people we represent."
