Milan, October 30 (askanews) – "We must work together with the institutions to clarify the path this country will inevitably take to implement the Green Buildings Directive. We'll start from here; we'll make our technical and technological expertise available to the country. Today we demonstrated how the Green Building Council system around the world, thanks also to its more than 50.000 member companies, is successful and can contribute.
Here, in Italy today we have an awareness and knowledge that can be spread, made available at all levels. Our sector is ready to accept, let's say, this challenge, which becomes a challenge for the country system, looking first and foremost at housing accessibility and the right to housing, which for us remains crucial at this time."
Fabrizio Capaccioli, president of GBC Italia, said this at the Green Building Forum Italia. "It's a European-level challenge," he added, "especially at a time when we believe European industry must continue to make a difference in this decarbonization process. We believe it's time to continue raising the bar for European companies, including Italian ones, considering that Europe as a whole currently accounts for less than 6% of total atmospheric emissions."
