(Adnkronos) – A heated exchange took place last night on TV at Stato delle Cose, the Rai 3 program hosted by Massimo Giletti, who was the protagonist of a rather heated exchange with Chiara Poggi's family consultant, geneticist Marzio Capra, during the usual segment dedicated to the Garlasco crime.
At a certain point Giletti shows a handwritten note from the then Carabinieri captain Marino, which talks about a test carried out on
Alberto Stasi's bike pedals
– currently the only person definitively convicted for the murder that occurred on August 13, 2007 in the villa on Via Pascoli – with a negative outcome.
Giletti asks Capra: "Am I an idiot not to realize that this is negative? Or am I? Tell me, looking me in the face, I'm so happy about it," he asks. And Capra replies bluntly. "Yes, you're an idiot. The sample taken by Marino is for further analysis, it's part of the subsequent tests," to which the host responds with a smile: "I'm happy about it."
But Capra was also the protagonist of another exchange on yesterday's episode of Lo Stato delle Cose, with Alberto Stasi's lawyer, Antonio De Rensis. "If you call me ignorant, I'll be happy. You're speculating on a horrendous story," Capra said, responding to a comment from journalist Brindani. "Marino didn't know what the interrogation was about. Not everyone is as wonderful as De Rensis, who always knows everything. No one ever sees him in important places, but he always knows everything. He's always on television and always knows everything." The lawyer's response: "You see, Dr. Capra, your intellectual modesty could be swept away simply by citing the Supreme Court ruling in the Bossetti case, but I'm not that lowly. If a guest tries to discuss the case and hears personal references to Brindani and me, I can't argue in that manner. For a year and a half, they, unlike the Sempio defense (who is currently under investigation for the murder of Chiara Poggi—editor's note), have been making personal attacks."
