Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – "I had burglars in my house and I defended myself. I injured a burglar, I don't know if he's dead. I was scared, I did it alone, I had the gun." These are the words spoken in the call to 112 on Sunday night by Roberto Mollo, the 35-year-old who killed a burglar in the courtyard of his property in Baldissero d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo.
The call, made at 2:17 a.m. and broadcast today by Tg1, was then passed to the Carabinieri, to whom Mollo, increasingly agitated, explained once again that he had fired the gun. "They're armed, I shot them, I defended myself, I live here alone, I'm in a farmhouse... here in the countryside." The Carabinieri officer reassured him, told him to stay calm, and advised him not to touch anything.
“No, no, I'm not touching anything. I'm out, I have the gun here anyway, it's unloaded.”
