This unleashed a hate campaign against the filmmakers in Israel, fueled by some ministers in the Netanyahu government. "This is a public outcry following the act of internal treason committed by two of our citizens who went to Venice, Italy, and portrayed IDF soldiers as murderers," said one of the organizers, Ziv Baranes, who announced that the issue does not end there.
