(Adnkronos) – “This song was born from the most difficult period of my life, from the most difficult loss these years have brought me.” Marco Mengoni, a guest on Fabio Fazio’s show “Che tempo che fa,” performed “Giornate perse” live for the first time, the song born out of grief over the death of his mother, Nadia Ferrari, who passed away at the age of 60 on September 22, 2024, after a long illness.
A “difficult” but necessary song.
"These songs make you understand, reason, and reflect on what's truly good for you. And so they help you let go of the thoughts and ways you had in relating to the world and people," said the singer-songwriter, who since the loss has learned to put himself "a little more at the center" of his "universe."
