Electoral law, Meloni: it's not credible that the centre-left says not enough

Milan, September 11 (askanews) – "Italians will have the opportunity to choose their coalition, their prime minister, their platform, and their parliamentarians. I'm pleased that the center-right has done this. As for the center-left, I find it frankly unbelievable that they're telling us it's not enough, always based on preferences, when preferences have been lacking in parliamentary elections in this country for over 30 years, and when just a month ago the left was celebrating with champagne in the chamber after defeating the amendment that introduced them."

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said this on the sidelines of the International Rice Festival, which opens today in Vercelli.
