Clashes in Milan: Here's who remains in prison and who is under house arrest.

Clashes in Milan: A decision has been made on the punishment for the young men responsible for looting and damaging several businesses near the cathedral.

The first convictions have now been handed down for the clashes that led to the destruction of several businesses in central Milan, primarily adults, although the minors are already in the Beccaria juvenile prison. The investigating judge has ruled and decided on the sentencing method, and has also addressed the issue with a view to the upcoming weekends.

Clashes in Milan, danger of recurrence

In the pages written in reference to the sentences handed down to the adult protesters, the investigating judge of Milan , Fabrizio Filice, explained what the next few weeks of protests by young people and very young people could be like.

In particular, he focuses on the social media buzz via TikTok that actually led to the episodes that were seen last weekend.

The risk, he says, is that “it will happen again” and the reason is simple: the protests have now flared up and every opportunity is good to gather in groups and cause trouble.

On this aspect, he pointed out that by taking advantage of being in a group, many young people lose control of their inhibitions and give vent to aggressive and antisocial behavior, effectively becoming real delinquents.

Five arrests in connection with the clashes in Milan, four remain in prison.

In his application, Di Filice explains that of the five arrested, all over the age of 18, four remain in prison, two of them because they engaged in behavior that involved devastation and looting.

Two other adults, however, were charged with a more "mild" charge, namely resisting a public official in direct attacks on the police.

The fifth adult , a 24-year-old, was placed under house arrest , as reported by Ansa because he did not intend to vandalize the shops but interfered during the arrest of another youth by police. He will still be wearing an electronic bracelet and will not be allowed to leave his home.
