Milan, September 24 (askanews) – The bicycle as a means of transportation, a tool for well-being, but also an opportunity for socializing and culture. Milan is preparing to host the second edition of FEELMIBIKE, Bike Week, scheduled from October 3rd to 11th with over 50 events spread across the city. Nine days of rides, meetings, workshops, and initiatives for adults and children, with the aim of promoting cycling culture by engaging an ever-wider audience. FEELMIBIKE aims to promote cycling culture in an inclusive and transversal way.
I always say that we don't select a target audience, but rather broaden it," explained Paolo Biffi, CEO of FEELMIBIKE. "These events don't always focus on cycling, but also on cross-fertilization with worlds already renowned in Milan, such as culture, fashion, and design. And I think this is confirmed by the events we'll be hosting at the Triennale, with NABA, and with the Museum of Science and Natural History.
In short, not just a vertical week on the bike, but something more." Among the scheduled events are urban rides and itineraries outside the city, meetings on sustainable mobility, workshops, and activities for children. One of the central locations will be the historic Vigorelli Velodrome, where on October 10th four rides will converge, starting from different areas of the city.
The grand finale is on October 11th with Mille Mila Bici, a group bike ride organized by Legambiente Lombardia and Milano in Bicicletta, open to all.
