Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – A 19-year-old woman reported a sexual assault this afternoon in Milan. The alarm was raised at 5:11 PM this afternoon. Officers from the Milan Police Headquarters were on the scene after the emergency number 113 was alerted. The girl's version is being examined by investigators, who still need to interview several people and gather further evidence to fully determine the circumstances of the incident.
IULM University clarifies that, according to what the young woman reported, "the attack took place on the mezzanine of the Cadorna metro station and not near the university, as reported by some newspapers."
The student later reached the university campus, where she told what had happened to a friend and classmate.
The latter convinced her to contact the University for help. The University immediately alerted the Carabinieri and 112, activating emergency services. IULM University therefore clarifies that "the campus was the location from which the call for assistance was made, and not where, according to the student's account, the attack occurred."
