According to what emerges from the documents, the 5 June, two days before his disappearance, Valentina D'Acunto would have received calls from numbers registered to two Pakistani citizens who do not exist in the registry office. The telephone cards were allegedly purchased illegally in Naples and were part of a batch of ten anonymous SIMs, seven of which were still unused at the time of the arrests.

On June 6, the woman reportedly called one of those numbers again, then suddenly stopped using the phone.

During the night between June 6th and 7th, after 2am, the girls were reportedly taken from the Civitella Alfedena facility and taken to the apartment in Formia belonging to a maternal aunt old. Sarah and Alisya would have stayed there for almost fourteen days, isolated from the outside world and without the possibility of leaving.

Investigators were able to reconstruct the connections between the various individuals through wiretaps, analysis of phone records, and monitoring of the telephone numbers involved.

La turning in the research it would have arrived thanks to a video call made by one of the girls to a number already under investigators' control and used by the mother. This information would have allowed investigators to quickly locate the location where the sisters had been hidden. The investigation, however, is not yet complete. The arrest warrant specifies that the kidnapping was committed «in competition with other people in the process of being identified». Investigators are therefore evaluating whether the network involved may be wider than the people already arrested.

As reported by Tgcom24, Vincenzo Esposito, 46 years old, partner of Valentina D'Acunto, and Marco D'Acunto, 62 years old, father of the woman, are in the Sulmona prison under regime isolation and under continuous surveillance. The two men, arrested as part of the investigation into the disappearance of the sisters Sarah and Alisya, are accused, together with the girls' mother, of aggravated kidnapping in competitionValentina D'Acunto is being held in the Teramo prison.

According to prison sources, Esposito and D'Acunto displayed the typical behavior of those entering prison for the first time. According to the investigative hypothesis, during those days they would have been deprived of personal freedom and forced to remain hidden in the apartment, going out only for meals and without being able to access the outside spaces of the house.
