Open Air Tourism: 4 million visitors expected in 2026

Rimini, October 28 (askanews) – Over four million tourist arrivals, an 8% increase in revenue, and a share of international guests reaching half of the total. These are the figures Club del Sole closed 2026 with, consolidating its position as a benchmark in Italian open-air tourism, which it presented at Rimini's TTG, the leading tourism trade fair.

This result confirms the industry's evolution toward a vacation model that combines nature, freedom, and comfort, through the Full Life Holidays offering. Foreign markets are growing, the value of stays is rising, and the Group's network of properties is expanding, now comprising 29 Villages in eight Italian regions. Angelo E.

Cartelli, General Manager of Club Del Sole: "Club del Sole closed the 2026 season on a high note, with an 8% increase in revenue and an 11% increase in attendance. The positive data includes the growth of foreign markets, whose share of Club del Sole's total sales increased from 45% to 50%, and the 10% increase in the average length of stay.

The value of holidays is also growing, with an increase of 11%, driven mainly by foreign markets, which have demonstrated greater spending power. Essentially, there are two elements that have led to this positive season, the first certainly the presences from abroad, the second our Full Life Holidays format, a very flexible format that today meets the needs of the modern, post-Covid traveler, who seeks flexibility, a connection with nature, large spaces and above all a product that can be composed every day as desired. The growth in results is accompanied by an evolution of the offer, with new destinations and solutions designed to meet increasingly diversified holiday needs. Angelo E. Cartelli, General Manager of Club Del Sole, once again stated: "Club del Sole will continue its growth path: already from the 2027 season, the portfolio will reach 30 Villages thanks to the expansion of the presence in Riccione, where a significant investment is planned that will be officially presented during a dedicated press conference in Milan. We will continue to present three main habitats: sea, mountains and lakes and to develop The Full Life Holidays format, enhancing it through technological innovation. The goal is to continuously improve customer relationships and the quality of their experience. This is the direction taken by the significant investment in technology, which began in the 2026 season with the launch of the Group's first loyalty program, Club del Sole Rewards. We will also aim to further strengthen our relationship with our guests through a new CRM platform, which will make customer interaction increasingly direct and technologically advanced, thanks also to the integration of artificial intelligence across all Club del Sole touchpoints. We want to follow market developments and identify our guests' new needs, anticipating their expectations to offer increasingly personalized and surprising experiences within our Villages." The 2026 results thus usher in a new phase for Club del Sole, consolidating its Italian leadership and increasingly European ambitions. The goal is to expand markets, destinations, and experiences, continuing to invest in innovation and the quality of hospitality. This path aims to evolve open-air tourism, combining the natural dimension with services, comfort, and an offering capable of adapting to new ways of experiencing vacations.
