A night marked by two serious road accidents in the Brianza area, which occurred within minutes of each other. The first occurred in Roncello , a hamlet of Vimercate, shortly after midnight between Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd. An 18-year-old woman lost her life in a violent head-on collision between two cars.
The 16-year-old boy traveling with her was also seriously injured, while the driver of the other car, a 40-year-old man, was also involved.
Accident in Roncello: head-on collision and death of 18-year-old
According to initial information, the young woman, a resident of Busnago, was driving a Fiat 500 and was travelling along Via Aldo Moro.
At a bend in the road, for reasons still unclear, his car collided head-on with an Audi traveling in the opposite direction . The impact was particularly violent. The conditions of the three involved were immediately serious, and three ambulances and two medical cars responded to the scene. Given the 16-year-old's condition, air ambulance assistance was also requested.
The Carabinieri and the Fire Brigade were also present at the scene of the accident.
The 18-year-old was rescued and rushed to Vimercate Hospital, but doctors could not do anything to save her : she was pronounced dead. The 16-year-old was transferred by air ambulance, with a red code, to Niguarda Hospital in Milan. The 40-year-old driver of the Audi, who was less seriously injured, was taken to San Gerardo Hospital in Monza with a yellow code. No further updates on the conditions of the two injured are currently available. The Carabinieri will now reconstruct the crash and determine the cause of the impact.
A few minutes after another serious accident in Cornate d'Adda
Just minutes after the tragic accident in Roncello, rescuers responded to a second emergency call in Cornate d'Adda . The alarm was raised along Via Matteotti, where a 17-year-old boy was involved . According to initial information, the young man was injured following a nasty fall from an electric vehicle. The exact circumstances of this incident are still being investigated and will need to be reconstructed precisely.
A medical car and an ambulance arrived on the scene, responding with a red code. After receiving initial treatment and stabilizing the 17-year-old, he was transported to Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo. His condition was considered serious. Two accidents, both involving young people, occurred very quickly, requiring the immediate intervention of numerous emergency vehicles.
