Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini attended the ceremony marking the breakthrough of the new San Donato tunnel, part of the expansion of the A1 motorway between Florence South and Incisa Reggello. "We have €13 billion in construction sites underway in Tuscany, €250 billion across Italy. It's a beautiful day because it means rewarding hundreds, indeed thousands, of workers, technicians, engineers, surveyors, and small business owners who make possible a more modern, safer, faster Italy, with less traffic and less pollution," Salvini said, emphasizing the value of infrastructure investments for the country.
