Brussels, 19 October (askanews) – A historic day for the Republic of San Marino. The signing of an agreement is a milestone in relations between San Marino and the European Union. From good relations, founded on friendship, cooperation, respect, and shared objectives and, of course, principles, we have reached a new level: that of a very broad partnership that sees San Marino integrated into the European Single Market. This partnership projects us into a new scenario of cooperation at all levels and gives us the opportunity to build our future in collaboration, not only with the European Union, but also in synergy with all twenty-seven member states.
In the face of fragmentation, which often arises internationally due to the many tensions that emerge and persist, today we have demonstrated that there is still a will to come together to face challenges and grow together." This was stated in Brussels by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Political Affairs, International Economic Cooperation and Digital Transition of the Republic of San Marino on the occasion of the signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union.
