Spain's King Felipe VI pays tribute to the migrants who died in Ceuta.

Milan, October 13 (askanews) – King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain paid tribute to the graves of migrants who died at sea during the border crossing between Morocco and Ceuta, which took place on July 30 and 31, involving over 70.000 people. Dozens of migrants lost their lives attempting to cross the border.

Although most of them returned to Morocco within hours, thousands remained stranded for weeks in often dire conditions, sleeping rough in the streets or on the beach, sparking a migration crisis ahead of November's general elections.
