(Adnkronos) –
Insults among colleagues in the fashion world. Stefano Gabbana, outspoken, left a snide comment under a video shared on Instagram of Elisabetta Franchi walking the red carpet in Paolo Strippoli's "L'Estranea" during the Venice Film Festival.
The designer wore a black mermaid dress, embellished with sparkling details and featuring a sweetheart neckline.
The video was filmed and shared on many social media platforms, including 'Screenweek'. Among the comments, one from the co-founder of Dolce & Gabbana didn't go unnoticed: "Miss polyester," he wrote, along with a slew of amused emoticons.
The comment went viral after a few minutes, and the Bolognese designer quickly responded, responding in kind under her own comment: “Dear Stefano, after all, this isn't the first time you've made tasteless comments about me.
"I think my respect for your company remains the same, but a piece of advice: put your phone down at a certain point. Hugs, Elisabetta Franchi," was the reply that received hundreds of likes.
