Milan, October 6 (Adnkronos) – The MAF – Milano Audiovisual Forum returns to Milan on October 8th and 9th, concurrently with the 19th HD Forum Conference, organized by HD Forum Italia, a meeting point for broadcasters, technology companies, universities, creatives, and students, with a program that combines vision, hands-on experience, and networking. Adnkronos will be the media partner of the event.
"The annual HD Forum Italia conference," explains HD Forum President Tonio Di Stefano, "represents a valuable opportunity for discussion and growth for the entire industry community, a space to share experiences, ideas, and concrete results capable of shaping the future of the market.
If this event has grown to become a point of reference in Italy and Europe, it is thanks to the commitment, quality, and dedication of HD Forum Italia members, whose daily work adds value and credibility to our project, which is constantly expanding, also involving new entities that foster renewal and change. This year's edition aims to be a new step forward: a moment to strengthen relationships, open ourselves to increasingly diverse collaborations, and continue to build together a solid and shared path towards audiovisual innovation.
The 2025 edition will focus on numerous topics, including news and information; sports and major events; and entertainment and creativity. The information ecosystem is increasingly influenced by algorithms, digital metrics, and artificial intelligence. Dedicated sessions will analyze how to combat misinformation, ensure content authenticity, and build trust with the public. A focus will also be given to the new editorial models and governance tools that are redefining production and journalism.
Sport today represents one of the most advanced laboratories for audiovisual innovation. We will discuss new technologies, premium production, remote production, and the use of 5G networks, and how technology is enabling new ways of storytelling, especially in light of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics. Broadcaster experts and technology partners will demonstrate how new platforms are transforming the live and news experience, making it more engaging and interactive.
From films to series, to short-form and multi-platform content, entertainment is undergoing a radical transformation. Virtual studios and augmented reality will be explored, including through the use of generative AI. Great emphasis will be placed on eco-sustainability and new procurement processes, which are essential to supporting the entire media sector. Significant space will also be dedicated to new forms of audiovisual consumption and creative strategies for engaging increasingly fragmented audiences. This will be an opportunity for discussion and growth for the sector.
