Car chase in Milan: Corona and De Martino, who's telling the truth?

Two conflicting versions of an alleged chase in Milan: Corona and Lucarelli provide divergent details about De Martino's role.

In the heart of Milan, two conflicting narratives have emerged regarding an alleged car chase involving the host of "Affari tuoi" Stefano De Martino. The event, reported by several online channels, sparked a heated debate between the two protagonists: Fabrizio Corona and journalist Selvaggia Lucarelli . Both sides presented differing versions of why Corona's car was behind De Martino's vehicle.

The conflicting versions of the alleged chase

According to initial reports, a well-known paparazzo chased the presenter through the streets of Milan, forcing him to call the Carabinieri. Fabrizio Corona , however, denied the accusation on his Telegram channel, explaining that on the night between October 14th and 15th, he was pursuing the attackers who had attacked him on October 10th and who had returned to his home the previous Wednesday.

In essence, the original statement would have been a misreading of the facts.

The story of Fabrizio Corona

In the video shared on his channel, Corona reiterated that his true target was the Calabrian criminals involved in the attack, not the TV host. He also added that, purely by chance, his SUV crossed paths with De Martino's without any intention of following him.

This detail, also confirmed by Andrea Parrella of FanPage, is the only point of contact between the two narratives.

Information from Selvaggia Lucarelli

Meanwhile, in her newsletter "Vale Tutto," Selvaggia Lucarelli claimed that Corona's SUV was indeed tailing De Martino. According to her reconstruction, the presenter was stopped by a Carabinieri patrol at a traffic light, who asked him to take a photo. At that point, De Martino reported to the officers that he was being followed, prompting a search and rescue operation to stop the vehicle. Lucarelli emphasized that De Martino was unaware of the driver's identity.

The relationship between De Martino and Corona: friendship or simple cordiality?

Another point raised by Lucarelli concerns the surprising closeness between the two figures. Both former partners of Belén Rodriguez have maintained a more than civil relationship, so much so that De Martino recently quoted one of Corona's famous catchphrases during a live television broadcast. The journalist expressed concern that a host with a "clean" image would not distance himself from someone considered "convicted" like Corona. This observation adds another layer of complexity to the debate, as it suggests that personal dynamics could influence public perception of the facts.

While Corona insists on pursuing personal attackers, Lucarelli describes direct contact with De Martino that involved law enforcement. Neither side has provided definitive evidence, leaving open the question of who actually pursued whom and why.
