The cast and characters of CIA
The rest of the CIA station team in New York takes shape around Ellis and Gehlfuss . Necar Zadegan plays Nikki Reynard , the station's deputy chief and a key figure in holding together a group that's anything but easy to manage. Natalee Linez plays Gina Gosian, a CIA analyst who works behind the scenes on field operations.
Another familiar face is Jeremy Sisto , who returns as Jubal Valentine, assistant chief of the New York FBI branch . His presence connects the new series to the rest of the Dick Wolf universe.
Previews of the first season
The first season of CIA consists of 12 episodes, each approximately 43 minutes long. In Italy, the series premieres on Italia 1 starting Friday, September 4th at 21.35:3 pm, with three episodes per night. The Italian premiere comes just as the series is about to debut its second season in the United States , starting October 5th.
The first mission immediately puts the new partnership to the test: a highly classified weapon is stolen from an American company working for the Defense Department. The two agencies, accustomed to operating with different approaches, must find a way to collaborate. This is where the CIA begins to play with one of its most intriguing themes: when national security is at stake, how flexible can the rules be? Colin Glass isn't the spotless hero of a classic procedural. Ellis explained that he wanted to leave the audience in doubt about him: he's not a "black or white" hero, because the CIA here operates in a gray area, seeking the common good but also resorting to very dark methods.
